HURST _ A 13-year-old who took his mother’s Land Rover for a drive late Saturday ended up running over two mailboxes, hitting four vehicles and clipping a house on Michael Boulevard, but police say the young driver was not injured.
His 13-year-old passenger also was not hurt, police said Sunday.
The driving incident occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Michael Boulevard.
At some point on Michael Boulevard, the teen lost control of the Land Rover and ran over the mailboxes and then hit two vehicles, said police Cpl. Tom McElwee on Sunday.
The Land Rover then hit the corner of a home on Michael, bounced off that and struck two other vehicles before it came to a stop, police said.
Hurst police later released the two young boys to the custody of their parents.
No juvenile charges had been filed as of Sunday.
