A woman was fatally shot early Tuesday evening in east Fort Worth, according to reports.
Details were limited Tuesday evening, but police records show that the call came in at 6:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Andrew Avenue.
The earliest report indicated that a woman had been outside the residence, but was "now inside with wound to the stomach."
She was taken to an area hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later, a MedStar spokeswoman said.
Cpl. Tracey Knight, police spokeswoman, said police were treating the incident as a homicide, but no other information was available Tuesday evening. -- Bill Miller
