The web site called “Help Nab the Bad Guys” is available on the district attorney’s web site. It will be updated regularly with surveillance videos, photographs and sketches of people area law enforcement officials want to talk to about unsolved cases.
Plenty of criminals have been caught after a member of the public recognized a face or a vehicle in the news or on the Internet, a news release from the district attorney’s office said.
Tarrant County District Attorney Joe Shannon said he decided to create the page in hopes that more eyes will lead to more leads.
“It is our strong belief that the more exposure, the greater the likelihood someone will bring forward some significant information which might result in the arrest and conviction of the offender,” Shannon said.— Mitch Mitchell
