Henry J. Melton, a defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears, has been on on injured reserve, but early Sunday, he was arrested on suspicion of assault and public intoxication in Grapevine, police said.
According to reports, Melton, 27, was at a sports bar in Grapevine, but was asked to leave at 1:45 a.m. for becoming belligerent.
Witnesses said Melton punched the manager in the face and bit the manager on the arm, police said. It took four staff members from the restaurant to restrain Melton on the ground until police arrived.
