Rosemary Herod had been driving around and realized that she was lost, North Richland Hills police said. She stopped and called her family from Rhome.
Her family contacted Rhome police at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday and officers located here.
Rhome police waited at the scene until Herod's family members arrived.
North Richland Hills police Wednesday had been trying to find Herod, 85, who was last seen in Bedford.

The North Richland Hills Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in locating 85-year old Rosemary Herod, missing since the afternoon hours of Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. The Silver Alert Program was activated through the Texas Department of Public Safety due to circumstances of her disappearance.
Rosemary Herod is a White female, whom on Wednesday, Feb. 26, failed to return home after attending a doctor’s appointment in Bedford. Mrs. Herod was last seen at Walgreen’s, 6350 Davis Boulevard, between 4:00 and 4:30 PM, where she had stopped to pick up a prescription.
The police are concerned for the safety of Mrs. Herod and are currently working her disappearance as a Missing Persons report. Information indicates that Mrs. Herod could be confused about her whereabouts and may have trouble finding her way home.
The North Richland Hills Police Department is asking the public for any information regarding the whereabouts of Rosemary Herod to contact NRHPD (817) 427-7014 or your local police agency immediately.
