The death of Stewart Trese, 23, (left) is being investigated as a homicide, Fort Worth police have said. Investigators on Thursday did not release any new details on the case.
However, the Tarrant County medical examiner reported that the cause of death was “multiple stab wounds,” including one to the neck.
Police on Wednesday arrested David Hidalgo, 21, (below) who was an acquaintance of Trese.
However, he did tell WFAA Channel 8 that he and Trese were friends. He said that while he was at Trese's apartment Tuesday, Trese made sexual advances toward him. He claimed that he resisted, but Trese was angry and threatened him with a pocketknife.
He said there was a struggle.
