Eight people were injured -- two of them seriously -- Saturday morning in a crash involving a wrong-way driver in Fort Worth.
Police arrested a female driver in a silver Subaru who was driving south on the northbound side of East Loop 820 near Interstate 30. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, said officer Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman.
Officers smelled alcohol in the vehicle and arrested the driver on suspicion of drunken driving, Neal said. The woman was hospitalized and her name was not known late Saturday, Neal said.
Three people were treated for injuries at the scene. Four patients were being treated at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital and one at Cook’s Children's Medical Center, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said Saturday night.
