In one incident, video surveillance shows a man entering a store after a landscaping brick crashed through a window. It happened 2:24 a.m. March 21 in the 2100 block of West Northwest Highway.
“From the surveillance video, it appears the suspect is possibly looking for cash,” police said in a news release.
But, when he couldn’t find money, the man scooped up about 30 pair of girls jeans.
“The suspect was in the store for approximately three minutes,” police said.
Similar incidents happened March 6 or 7 in the 1500 block of West Texas Highway 114, computer and checkbook stolen; March 9, 2600 block of William D. Tate Avenue, TV stolen; and April 6, 2600 block of Ira E. Woods Avenue, cash register, laptop and nail drill stolen.
The man seen on the March 21 video appears to be 40-45 years old, about 6-feet-2-inches tall, about 200 pounds and black. He wore glasses, leather jacket, jeans and dark shoes.
