Police have blown up two unattended backpacks found near the Boston Marathon's finish line. They say they've taken a man into custody in connection with them, according to The Associated Press.
Police spokesman Dave Estrada says the backpacks were discovered Tuesday evening, a year after two bombs in backpacks exploded at the end of the marathon and killed three people, the AP said.
Police say the bomb squad detonated the two backpacks found Tuesday as a precaution.
