But law enrocement investigators say they believe that Brown (shown here) may have been killed somewhere in Tarrant County just before the Memorial Day weekend.
Some burned remains were found in Smith County and the rest of the body was found in a Shreveport lake.
Sheriff Larry Smith has said the remains belong to Brown, who had lived near Weatherford.
The investigation continued Thursday. Meanwhile, people who knew Brown said he was well-respected.
Brad Roche, a spokesman for Hill Phoenix, said Brown had worked with the company for the five years and was vice-president/general manager of the company's walk-in cooler business.
“He was an exceptional colleague,” Roche said. “Everybody is shocked... It's a tough, tragic thing for everyone to get through.”
