12:16 p.m. FRIDAY UPDATE: The Corsicana man accused of kidnapping a Parker County woman and sexually torturing her at his home and garage for 12 days last year told investigators that it was a "fantasy."
In a March 16 interview with investigators, Jeff Maxwell couldn't explain why he did it, but he "felt bad" after the first day.
Maxwell said he wasn't worried about what other people thought of what he did.
The man who an investigator described as the "nightmare of every parent" told authorities that he did pray with the woman while she was at his Corsicana, even loaning her his father's Bible.
At times, Maxwell says he felt like someone else was beating and sexually assaulting the 63-year-old woman.
When he realized how much trouble he was in by kidnapping and beating her, Maxwell said thought about letting the bruises heal up before letting her go or marrying her.
"I realize it was desperation," Maxwell told authorities in the March 16 interview which was almost an hour long.
10:22 a.m. FRIDAY UPDATE: Jeff Maxwell told a Texas Ranger that he put a kidnapped Parker County woman in a wooden box when he had to go to town.
The box is about six to seven feet long and three feet wide.
The 59-year-old Maxwell had built the box for tools and kept it in his Corsicana garage.
Jurors heard the confession this morning during Maxwell's 59-minute interview with Texas Ranger Tony Bradford on March 14 at the Parker County Jail.
Maxwell said he had sex with the woman even though he told Bradford that he wasn't fighting any sexual desires at the time.
"I don't have any," Maxwell confessed answering Bradford's question about sex.
Jurors are expected to hear more of the taped interview of Jeff Maxwell today in the 43rd District Court in Weatherford.
The 14-member jury could get the case soon.
