Fort Worth police were negotiating Monday afternoon with an apparently suicidal man near Montgomery Plaza west of downtown, according to scanner traffic and witness reports.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene at Seventh and Stayton streets. The incident was ongoing at about noon.
The nude man is walking back and forth on a billboard on Seventh Street on the west side of the Trinity River.
A fire truck is positioned below him. Police are talking with him on a loudspeaker and the man can be heard yelling his replies to officers.
Traffic on Seventh Street is backed up on the Trinity River bridge east into downtown.
Police said the man is in his early 20s.
