A federal grand jury in Waco indicted Naser Jason Abdo on additional charges in connection with an alleged plot for an explosives attack near the U.S. Army base in Killeen, federal prosecutors said. The 21-year-old now faces six additional counts, including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted murder of officers or employees of the United States. The indictment accuses Pfc. Abdo, an AWOL soldier, of planning a July 27 attack where he would detonate explosives inside the restaurant, which was frequent by soldier from Fort Hood. He planned to shoot any survivors, according to news reports. He faces up to life in prison.
