Brawl breaks out during wedding reception at Fort Worth's Worthington Renaissance Hotel

A wedding reception turned into a brawl Friday night at the Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel, police said.

It triggered when the hotel closed one of three bars in the ballroom, an officer wrote in his report.

"[A] manager came to us and asked that we station ourselves near one of the three bars in the Grand Ballroom because the guests were reaching over the bar and trying to steal bottles of liquor or beer," according to the report.

Racially-charged, expletive-filled language ensued.

Three Pa. teens charged with assault after recorded fight reaches Facebook

Three teenage girls in the town of Somerset, Pennsylvania have been charged with aggravated assault after a fight was recorded and posted on Facebook.

The Associated Press reports that the three girls, two 15-year-olds and a 13-year-old, were involved in a March 2 fight that left a 14-year-old girl with a concussion.

The victim's mother told police that a teenage witness saw the fight and recorded it on a cellphone.

The three girls' account to police blamed the victim before the video made its splash on the popular social networking site. Somerset Police Chief Randy Cox said that the video "made it very easy for us."

The girls have not been identified by name because they have been charged as juveniles.

Videotaped brawl at Fla. Burger King leads to felony charge

At BK, you can't always have it your way.

A bikini-clad woman is facing a felony charge after a videotaped brawl at a Burger King in Florida went viral on YouTube.

The Associated Press reports that the woman, identified as Kimesa Smith, 31, from Montgomery, Alabama, is seen in the video hitting employees and even jumping on the counter to hit someone with a large container.

One of the restaurant's employees told police that the fight started when Smith complained about her order.

Smith was initially charged with misdemeanor battery but Florida authorities added charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and a felony criminal mischief charge.

Fla. woman bites off coworker's fingertip

Some drama over an alleged affair at a south Florida Walmart ended with one woman biting off more than she could chew.

The Associated Press reports that Walmart employee Clodia Coicour, 43, told police she heard a rumor that a female co-worker was having an affair with her husband, who also works at the store.

The situation escalated when the victim walked to her car after her shift ended only to have Coicour douse her with a substance that burned her eyes. Push comes to shove and the two start fighting.

In the course of the fight, Coicour allegedly bit off the tip of the woman's ring finger.

Coicour has been charged with aggravated battery.

2 stabbed after "not-so-sweet 16" party

Police in Suffolk, Virginia said that a fight after a "Sweet 16" party at a state-owned club near a golf course Sunday night ended with three people stabbed.

News station WAVY reports that Yamaine Elliott, 16, has been charged with two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of "shoot, stab or wound" in the incident.

The party was believed to be a private one until word of mouth spread on Facebook and an estimated 175 people filled the club to over its capacity level.

Police said that the three victims were minors and only two were hospitalized. According to the report, everyone is expected to be ok.

Parents' brawl puts kindergarten graduation into lockdown

How's this for setting an example.

A kindergarten in Victorville, Calif., had to be put in lockdown by police after parents attending the school's graduation ceremony got into a fight.

According to the Victorville Daily Press, some of the parents went to a nearby field away from the ceremony where the brawl ensued. No children were hurt or involved, according to the newspaper.

Witnesses said that several mothers got into an argument that became physical. Then several men got involved and the fight turned into a melee, with one person reportedly having a weapon, the newspaper reported.

Astros pitcher arrested in wedding brawl, police say

A pitcher for the Houston Astros was arrested over the weekend when a brawl broke out at a wedding in Galveston, police said.

The pitcher, Brandon Backe, was accused of resisting arrest and was released on $1,500 bond. He was one of at least eight people arrested.
