Report raises troubling issues about Virginia Tech's 2007 shooting response

State officials in Virginia are upset over what has been revealed in a revised report on how campus officials at Virginia Tech responded to the 2007 shootings on campus in which 32 people were killed by a troubled student, Seung-Hui Cho, who officials were aware had psychological problems.

The new report says some university officials warned their own families and locked down the president's office at least 90 minutes before issuing a general alert on campus. That delay in notifying the vast number of students and faculty on campus to the deadly situation troubled the state's governor.

Gov. Timothy Kaine called those actions "inexcusable."

UCLA student stabbed in the neck during chemistry lab

Police are trying to figure out why a student at UCLA stabbed a fellow student in the neck during a chemistry lab on campus.

The female student who was attacked is hospitalized but expected to recover from the bloody attack.

The 21-year-old student under arrest in jailed on $1 million bail.

Police: Texas A&M student broke into office to change test answers

Police in College Station say that a Texas A&M student broke into offices on campus to change his test answers in an effort to get a better grade.

He faces two misdemeanor trespass counts and one of computer security breach.

Police say the student, who later surrendered, broke into the Wehner Building on campus and made access to the office via suspended ceiling tiles.
