Here's an unusual conclusion to an alarming story.
It started out earlier this week when a man in Burleson stopped to ask a third-grader if she had lost a puppy.
That triggered alarms for parents, educators and law enforcement officials earlier this week.
But after a thorough investigation, it seems the incident was nothing more than what it appeared to be: a man who stopped his car to ask a child whether she had lost a puppy.
Burleson police closed the investigation after interviewing the man Friday, according to a news release. After the incident was publicized, the man contacted police and identified himself.
