Authorities with the FBI have arrested nine members of a Christian militia group that they said was preparing to do battle with the U.S. government and the Antichrist.
Most were arrested during raids last weekend in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, officials said.
Authorities said the members of the so-called Hutaree militia were planning to kill a Michigan police officer and then slaughter many more law enforcement officers by bombing his funeral.
The group hoped their plan would incite an uprising against the U.S. government, the Associated Press reported.
