Toilet paper disguise works for Nebraska robber

I've heard of bandannas and Halloween masks, but a robber in Lincoln, Neb., might be saying "Please don't squeeze the Charmin," after he used toilet paper to disguise his face during a holdup.

Thesmokinggun.com reports that the holdup was successful. A police dog tracked the scent found the toilet paper, but not the knife-wielding man.

"With that disguise, there isn't much to go on," a Lincoln Police Department spokesperson told the website, which also has surveillance video of the holdup.

Police: Woman traded her 2-year-old daughter for a gun

Most of us think our kids are the most valuable things in the world.

But, police in Phoenix, Ariz., say a woman there decided her 2-year-old daughter was worth the price of a gun.  Authorities arrested Tanya Nareau, 33, of Mesa, on charges that she gave the child to a man in exchange for a gun.

She's facing charges of unlawful sale of a child and solicitation to possess a weapon by a prohibited person, the Associated Press reported.

Woman gets probation for trying to sell her son

A woman in Davenport, Iowa, has been given five years' probation for trying to use her son to pay for a wedding dress.

Prosecutors say the woman offered the child twice as payment for the wedding dress. She could have faced prison time, but will have to abide by restrictions imposed by the court. Both the woman's children have been taken from her custody by state child welfare officials.
