The Texas DPS reports that its troopers discovered more than $2 million in cash Friday during a traffic stop on an 18-wheeler in Zavala County, the DPS said in a release.
The cash was found inside two duffel bags when the truck was stopped in La Pryor at the intersection of Texas 57 and U.S. 82, the DPS said.
The driver, who was stopped for speeding and having no front license plate on the truck, denied that the money was his and he was let go, the DPS said. The investigation continues.
