It was called a "circus of horrors," featuring a terrified 19-year-old Bulgarian girl swimming with piranhas while her younger sister was wrapped and bitten by snakes and large tarantulas -- all for the enjoyment of paying customers.
Now, the Marino Circus has been shut down by police in southern Italy.
Three men who ran the circus have been arrested. They have been charged with holding the girls in slavery and breaching international human rights conventions, the Times of London is reporting.
