15 year old stabbed to death for iPod

Whatever the street value of an iPod might be, it's certainly not worth someone's life.

U.S. Marshals said that Hugo Gonzalez, 17, and Brian Johnson, 18, were arrested in Las Cruces, New Mexico on Wednesday in the stabbing death of a 15 year old boy in El Paso after a robbery that went terribly wrong.

According to officials, the two teens stabbed the unidentified boy as they robbed him of a cell phone and an iPod three weeks ago.

Apple's popular music player has sold in the millions since its debut in October 2001.

Warehouse packed with stolen merchandise

Tarrant County Sheriff's deputies with a search warrant have discovered a commercial warehouse packed with stolen merchandise.

"This is the kind of theft that you see on The Sopranos where they knock over a semi-trailer full of commercial merchandise," said Sheriff's spokesman Terry Grisham. "Unquestionably, a multimillion-dollar theft ring has been broken up today."

A suspect, Charles Nowden, 44, was arrested early Thursday as authorities said he was about to load up merchandise at the warehouse at 5851 E. Rosedale St.

The haul included washing machines, dishwashers, and a riding lawn mower. There also were boxes of Mattel toys, that were made in China, which may now be worthless, considering the recent controversy over Chinese-made toys coated in lead paint.
