Software design firm moving to Fort Worth area from California
A San Diego-based computer software design company is planning a move to the Fort Worth area, a Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce executive said Wednesday.
The Star-Telegram's real estate reporter, Sandy Baker, reports David Berzina, the chamber’s executive vice president of economic development, declined to name the company in a talk to a business group, saying an official announcement will be made in less than a month.
The company’s software is used in the auto repair industry, he said.
Initially, about 40 jobs from the West Coast will relocate to the Fort Worth area, but as many as 400 will be added during a three-phased move in the next two years. Those jobs will be filled by employees who choose to relocate, or with new hires, Berzina said.
Company executives are already buying homes in North Texas, Berzina said.
