Fort Worth accounting firm to merge with BDO USA

Hartman Leito & Bolt, a Fort Worth-based regional accounting firm with about 60 employees, will merge into  BDO USA, a big national national professional services firm that says it has more than 400 employees in Texas. The combination is effective June 1. Hartman Leito & Bolt was founded in 1986 and has clients in manufacturing, construction, real estate and the not-for-profit sector, along with a practice serving high-net-worth individuals, according to the companies' announcement Monday. It will have offices in Fort Worth and Dallas. The deal will give BDO USA 225 employees in Dallas/Fort Worth. It's a member of U.K.-based BDO International Ltd.

"The firms have very compatible service philosophies that will make our transition into BDO as seamless as possible," said Alan Hawrylak, managing partner of HLB. According to the announcement, founding HLB partner Tracy Bolt will do strategic consulting with BDO clients on business advisory matters, founding partner Jim Leito will manage the Fort Worth assurance practice for BDO, and Pam Roberts will manage tax practice.
