Hmm-I really wanted to see the info about discontinuing the investigation. I hope that TEA or some other organization keeps digging. I also hope that he actually repays the district for his personal expenses.

For the first time, he seems to be at a loss for words. I never heard him speak at length in person, but at the board meeting where he left early to attend daughter's graduation (viewed on AISDtv) I noticed many uhs and ums. I later went back to watch one or two board meetings before that one-same thing. Does he always do that-as a "professional" speaker- or was he nervous with the board putting pressure for compliance on him?

Two points:
A) Will the ST post a link to the June 17th letter to Mr. ASh and the two other board members from Hm in which he asks for the renegotiation of his contract? It's been alluded to several times in stories, but not posted.

B) The El Paso Times reports today that HM is under investigation by their board and that HM's attorney is now defending him there. Also reported that TEA is investigating HM at this time as well
