When Gerry Guevara heard from his son that former Mexican president Vicente Fox was coming to North Texas, he made plans to see him. Guevara's son is a student at TCU and Fox spoke to students there about global leadership.
Guevara and his family, who moved to Texas from California, but they have Mexican family ties and Fox is a point of pride.
"I think Vicente Fox has been one of those leaders who transcends party lines," Guevara said.
The family drove from Plano to catch a glimpse of the world leader in Fort Worth.
Fox took note a posed for a quick photo.
"I think it's amazing," Guevara said of the Fox visit. "It's a great opportunity for the students to get involved on the world stage."
