University of Texas at Arlington fever continues this weekend with Homecoming 2012, an event scheduled to include a street party with food, music, activities, a pep rally and a parade. The Festival on the Plaza, set to begin at 3:30 p.m. Saturday alongside College Park Center, will lead in to the men's basketball game at 7 p.m. at the center.
The week kicks off with a residence hall decorating contest Thursday and wraps up with the homecoming king and queen coronation Saturday.

Speaking of UT Arlington, tickets became available Monday for CNN journalist Soledad O'Brien's appearance as part of the Maverick Speakers Series.
O'Brien will speak on "Diversity in America" at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Texas Hall. Free general admission tickets are available here. Premium seating packages, which include reserved seating, parking and other perks, cost $25. Information here.
