Children at Johnson Elementary School in Southlake will get to spend the school day barefoot next week to help remind folks that some kids do without.
The campus is collecting new shoes to donate as part of a One Day Without Shoes project on Thursday, April 5. Participating children will come to school wearing shoes and socks that they can take off easily.
The shoe drive benefits Shoes for Orphan Souls, which distributes new footwear to children in 74 countries and the United States. They say they are most in need of leather and canvas athletic shoes.
The aim of the effort is to draw attention to youngsters who can experience injuries and illness and miss school because they don't have foot protection.

It is a fun adventure on a wooden climbing frame. Kids can climb for hours strengthening muscles and increasing their dexterity. The climbing frame made of wood is built to last, and is one of the strongest and most durable materials. It is flexible and sturdy, and strong enough to endure lots of climbing fun.
