Where can we find detailed information on why UEA has endorsed these two incumbents? Are there specific reasons cited as to why they AREN'T endorsing any of the challengers? This article seems to point to Vasquez's current teaching profession and also states that candidate's "qualifications, voting records and other factors" were reviewed. How can a challenging candidate who has never been a school board member previously have a voting record taken into account? Seems to me that if a voting record is part of the criteria in a review, the endorsement will unfairly favor an incumbent. This story deserves more details.
