Fort Worth schools has launched a redesigned website.
Senior Communications Officer Barbara Griffith said the site is designed to be more user-friendly.
"Our previous website was heavy on content, but not necessarily always easy to navigate. This new content management system is also easier for us to use so we can post items quickly and more easily. That way parents, staff and students can be informed of events as they happen," she said.
The district did surveys and conducted focus groups and interviews on what folks wanted in the new site. They will continue to tweak it based on feedback from the community, Griffith said.
The Dallas school district also revamped its website. Compare it here.
Also, free Fort Worth ISD mobile app has been downloaded about 3,800 times for use on smart phones, officials said. It is designed to allow users to get school and district updates and access grades, lunch money accounts, and the district’s social media sites.
