These kids have no need for spell check software.
On Wednesday, 25 area students will gather at TCU to compete in the regional spelling bee, vying for the chance to advance to go head-to-head with other top spellers in the national championship. TCU will also offer the regional winner the chance to audit a course for free.
Returning to the competition is Mark De Los Santos, a student at Holy Rosary Catholic School in Arlington. He was the 2010 regional winner and was runner up last year.
The Scripps National Spelling Bee is held in Washington, DC and is scheduled to start on May 27.
