While a heavy rain drenched the grounds of the Fort Worth Stock Show Thursday morning, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price remained in good spirits as she greeted local students arriving for class field trips.
"Most of them are pumped about being here," Price said. "I'd be here doing this everyday if I could."
Price also spoke to some Texas FFA members who were volunteering to guide students throughout the Stock Show. Price said she told them how important it is to volunteer at events like this and around the community, both as a way to learn an area’s history as well as providing a boost to college applications.
Price also snagged a few photos with the Stock Show's mascots, the Moos Brothers. (Price is the one in the middle.)
