No need for a sofa at the Stock Show cattle barn

We noticed Grace Stotts, 10, taking an afternoon break from preparing Braunvieh heifers for a show tomorrow morning. 

She huddled by the side of Ela Mae, playing a video game on her smart phone. Ela Mae didn't seem to mind it at all when Grace sat on her back for a spell.

Nearby, ranchers carefully groomed their cattle, which includes washing and blowdrying, said Grace, whose family's ranch is Stotts Farms in Lone Oak.

"I like to lay down and pet and love them," she said. "They like being petted a lot. They're kind of like big dogs."
