It's 5:30 a.m. and I'm gonna catch the neighborhood bus this morning. I'm going to take my bike, too. Most T buses have bike racks on the front. The No. 62 Summerfields Express will arrive here about 6:55 and get me to downtown about 7:40. Then I'll take Trinity Railway Express, which also allows bikes, to Hurst and from there ride my bike to the Star-Telegram's Bedford office. That'll shorten my bike-riding time to about a half-hour. The total trip will still take about two hours, I suspect, but most of that time I'll be able to get some work done. I'll let you know how it goes.
Here's a picture from the T showing how the bike rack works.

I enjoy following your adventure. I wish that the Summerfields Express could run more than one bus in the afternoon. I hesitate to take the bus, figuring that if I missed the one bus home...that would be the end of bus riding. I tried once (about four years ago)...they don't wait for you very long at the ITC. I was lucky to be there before they left for the day, after only a few minutes stop.

Doug: I know what you mean. The bus was great this morning. There were 12 people on it, including me. The only thing I really worry about is missing the ride home. It lives downtown at 5:10, I think. If I miss that bus, Summerfields is a heck of a long walk/bike ride ...
