Gordo, I've got a question... The other day I stopped at the light at Elizabeth and 8th. The guy next to me stopped as well but just a little ahead of me by about a foot. That blasted camera flashed us. What in the tarnation does that mean????? Nobody ran the light. But the thing flashed anyway... And what do you think about that spray you can put on your license to make an over exposure??

Gordon

Hi Mel: As long as you stopped, and didn't go through the intersection on a red, you shouldn't get a ticket. People who get red light tickets can usually watch a video of themselves running through the intersection (The web address to watch the video appears on the ticket.), so in your case the video would show you in a stopped position. If you did somehow get mailed a ticket based on that situation you should be able to get it thrown out. Of course, I'm not a lawyer. I just play one online! ;-)
I've never tried those sprays but I've read conflicting reports about whether they actually work. If someone has experience with them, please let us know ...

Doug

The new red light cameras at North Beach St. and Western Center Blvd keep flashing every few minutes all day long. I assume that it's just doing that to make people notice that there are cameras there during the December warning period.
Although, this morning I saw the camera actually catch a car that ran the eastbound West. Center Blvd. red light. They were a little slow running the yellow light and now will get that warning letter in the mail.
