Guilty until proven innocent. Collection agencies are such helpful and professional organizations to deal with. She should charge them a service fee just as arbitrarily as they were trying to charge her for having to deal with them. I especially like the suggestion: if you believe you have incurred charges but have not been billed, you should stop your world and contact them. Why? Because they can ruin your credit with a couple of taps at a computer terminal? Shouldn't that be a huge red flag?
