Going to Dallas today? Don't take Interstate 635 -- aka LBJ Freeway -- through north Irving today. The entire eastbound side of the road has been shut down while workers inspect the MacArthur Boulevard overpass. A tractor-trailer carrying an oversize load struck the bridge at 10:45 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation, and inspectors are trying to determine if the damaged structure can still bear weight. We'll know more by the end of the day, but meanwhile, find another way to Big D ...

I saw it right after it happened before police arrived....there was concrete chunks all over the freeway and meshes of wire cabling coming down from the over pass. We had to drive through the center grass area to get around it. Too tall of a tractor that the semi was pulling....

Sad :( I had no idea ahead of time and got caught up in that. Directly got on right at 190 and 635 at 4:25 this afternoon, with the intention of going to Preston. 1 hour and 7 miles (and 1/4 tank of gas) later, I am looking at the MIDWAY exit, and escape. Spring Valley wasnt much better, clogged real bad up until Preston. There were no accidents, cops or even cones in sight, so I have no idea what the problem was.
