Although I hate new highways and think they shouldn't be built, this is one I'm kinda mixed on. I drive this corridor often from Fort Worth to Cleburne, and SH-174 well...sucks. It is probably the best example of sprawl I can think of in Texas. Burleson all the way to Cleburne is nothing but 7 lanes of traffic lights, high signs, and strip malls. You can't walk anywhere, and as things continue to be built farther south they keep having to add more traffic lights. Maybe a limited access highway without frontage roads would stop this ugly development in this corridor. Better yet, lets get commuter rail to Cleburne!!
