The financial forecast for the southern part of a proposed toll road from Fort Worth to Cleburne will be discussed in detail Wednesday during a public hearing.
The planned 28-mile Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail Parkway toll road from Interstate 30 near downtown Fort Worth to U.S. 67 in Cleburne is scheduled to open in 2014.
The hearing Wednesday will focus on the southernmost 13 miles of the project in Johnson County, where the road will be called Chisholm Trail Parkway. The hearing is required by state law before the North Texas Tollway Authority can enter into a contract with a designer-builder.
In the northern part of the project in Fort Worth, it's more commonly called Southwest Parkway.
The hearing will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cleburne Conference Center, 1501 W. Henderson St. in Cleburne.
"We understand how vital the delivery of this project is to the mobility of the region," said Elizabeth Mow, tollway authority project delivery director. "We look forward to sharing information about Chisholm Trail with the public and moving one step closer to construction."

"The tollway to nowhere."
Unless you're like half the people in Cleburne that work in Fort Worth...
