DART passengers scolded for hopping off stalled train, walking through tunnel

Dartexodus Dallas Area Rapid Transit is getting slammed for its handling of a stalled train after the Dallas Mavericks parade on Thursday. Check out this Dallas Morning News editorial blasting DART for not listening to witness accounts about the confusion that apparently took place while people were trapped, and instead scolding the apparently large number of riders who took it upon themselves to get out of the malfunctioning light rail car and walk out of the tunnel. What to you think about this situation? Should passengers always remain in the car, for the sake of safety, even if they're not getting a lot of information from the driver about what's causing the problem on the tracks?

Screw DART! They had plenty of time to communicate with the passengers and failed to do so. As a passenger, they were probably worried that another train would run into them.

If I was on that train I would have left it too.

Dart, admit it. You failed to do YOUR job so stop deflecting attention.

A trip to San Francisco is definitely worth trying out.
