The state of Texas has launched an ambitious program, Drive Clean Across Texas, that it's touting as "the nation's first statewide public outreach and education campaign designed to raise awareness and change attitudes about air pollution."
The campaign's focus: reducing emissions from cars and trucks, a major contributor to air pollution.
What's in it for you: The possibility of winning a Ford Fusion Hybrid. Visit the campaign's website, answer a few questions and take a look around the site if you like.
The campaign is a joint effort by the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas Commission on Environmental Air Quality, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and air quality programs across Texas, according to the website.
Check it out. You might get lucky.

The state or local area cannot be serious about air pollution/quality when the toll road operators are allowed to also control the traffic signals on the service road. This is a news story that needs to be ran. Toll road operators have every incentive to intentionally mistime the traffic signals.

Awesome contest, who couldn't use a new Ford Fusion, especially in economic times like these with ridiculous high gas prices? Even the regular Ford Focus (non hybrid) gets pretty good numbers at 40 mpg.
