Celebrate your love of the Dallas Mavericks by paying a higher annual vehicle registration fee than your loser neighbors! Woo-hoo!
A plate featuring the logo of this year's National Basketball Association champions -- man, it never gets old saying that ;-) -- will be sold beginning this fall at www.myplates.com.
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles approved the new plate design during a recent meeting. The Mavs logo goes on the left side, in front of a black background and the license plate characters of your choice. The cost is $55 a year, with discounts of those who order the plate for up to 10 years. That's on top of the roughly $51 to $62 a year most Texans already pay for their annual registration.
