Traveling south of downtown Fort Worth on Interstate 35W promises to be a bit tricky this weekend. Southbound Interstate 35W will be reduced to two lanes from Interstate 30 to Berry Street 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The eastbound and westbound ramps to Interstate 30 also will be closed, and some other entrance and exit ramps in the area may be periodically blocked.
The closures are needed to make room for crews to place a new layer of asphalt on the freeway, a Texas Department of Transportation official said.
Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes. One option for traffic passing through Fort Worth is to use Loop 820 around downtown Fort Worth.

Excuse me but there isn't any problem with I35W going south from downtown. The problem with the Interstates in Fort Worth is I35W between downtown and NORTH 820, as well as 820 from I35W to the I20 intersection near Arlington. When are these guys going to pull their heads out?

Excuse me but they said Southbound out of downtown. It isn't the wide-open area South of downtown. And it is paving job, not a construction job - which is the only way to fix I-35W Northbound. It is not the same guys or the same money!
