This is not exactly a transportation story, but the readers of this blog are a well-tuned bunch. So, if you'll forgive me, I'd like to briefly use this news space to ask for your help with a story:
I'm looking for a North Texas family to hang out with and watch the first presidential debate the evening of next Wednesday, Oct. 3, for a story in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. I will be watching the debate with one family, and fellow S-T reporter Anna Tinsley will watch with a second family.
If you know of a gregarious group of people who care enough about politics to watch the debate and would be willing to let us into their homes, please send me an email to gdickson@star-telegram.com ...
We have no firm criteria, other than we are looking for a small gathering of people willing to generously share their thoughts and reactions to the debate as it unfolds. You would have to allow me and a photographer into your home for a couple of hours. It would be a bonus if at least one family member was on the fence about which candidate they intended to vote for.
If you know of a family that would be willing to do this, please send me a note asap.
