Big traffic switch on Texas 121/183 in Bedford this weekend

A dispatch from colleague Terry Evans, who covers Northeast Tarrant county for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:
BEDFORD — The ramp to northbound Texas 121 from the Texas 121/183 split shifts to a right exit (back to the way it used to be) at 9 p.m. Saturday.
It should remain that way now that construction of main lanes and frontage roads in that segment of the $2.5 billion North Tarrant Express project are finished.
“This is a significant change for North Tarrant Express drivers, who have become accustomed to the left-lane exit to SH 121,” said Lara Kohl, spokeswoman for Bluebonnet Contractors, the company building the project.
It took a while for drivers to get used to the left-exit shift, so Kohl encouraged everyone to slow down and watch out for drivers making last-second lane changes.
Two years into construction the 13.5-mile project is on schedule. When finished in mid-2015, there will be rebuilt frontage roads and main lanes and new toll lanes on Northeast Loop 820 and Airport Freeway from Interstate 35W to Industrial Boulevard. — Terry Evans

I can't speak for Terry, but this story about the 121/183 split puts me in the mood for a banana split. When's the last time you had one of those? Yum! Bananasplit
