HALTOM CITY -- All lanes of the Haltom Road bridge over Northeast Loop 820 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Regular traffic will resume at 5 a.m. Friday.
The closures that will allow builders to place beams for a new bridge are part of the $2.5 billion North Tarrant Express project.
Southbound traffic will be detoured to Beach Street. Northbound traffic will be redirected to Denton Highway (U.S. 377).
Scheduled for a mid-2015 completion, the 13.5-mile project will expand Loop 820 and Airport Freeway -- rebuilding main lanes and frontage roads and adding toll lanes -- from Interstate 35W to Industrial Boulevard. Keep up with progress and future closures at northtarrantexpress.com. -- Terry Evans
