HURST – The southbound Loop 820 off ramp to Pipeline Road/Glenview Drive will be closed until sometime in late March beginning 7 p.m. Friday. Traffic will detour on westbound Loop 820 to the Grapevine Highway (Texas 26) off ramp. Pipeline will remain accessible from the Precinct Line Road exit off Texas 121/183.
The closure allows contractors to shift traffic to new pavement on the $2.5 billion North Tarrant Express project. Scheduled for mid-2015 completion, the project will expand 13.5 miles of Loop 820 and Airport Freeway, rebuilding main lanes and frontage roads and adding toll lanes from Interstate 35W to Industrial Boulevard. -- Terry Evans
