Former federal official now heading Trinity Railway Express - will help with TEX Rail project

It took more than a year, but the Fort Worth Transportation Authority has finally filled the vacant position of Trinity Railway Express chief operating officer. He's Tom Tulley, a former Federal Railroad Administration official. His main task will be to oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the TRE, but he also has detailed knowledge of a proposed second commuter rail line in Fort Worth - TEX Rail - and he may be able to help the T with its application for federal funds for that project. He's also stepping into a position that can be politically tense to say the least ... For starters, although he is paid by the T, he has to answer to bosses at both the T and its much larger sister agency in Big D - Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

Good luck, Tulley ;-)
