Amtrak Texas Eagle, Union Pacific, BNSF trains disrupted in Fort Worth

Amtrak@gdickson

Amtrak has suspended train service on the Texas Eagle between Fort Worth and San Antonio for the next two months and is instead using buses to ferry passengers between those cities. The move is needed because of work on the Tower 55 railroad tracks near downtown Fort Worth that is expected to disrupt freight and passenger rail service until Sept. 4.

Tower 55 is used heavily by Union Pacific Railroad and Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway, and those companies are making adjustments to their freight shipments, too.
