Tarrant students win fraud-fighting scholarships

A new generation of fraud busters is in the making, with a boost from Community Trust Bank in Fort Worth. On behalf of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the bank is contributing eight $500 scholarships to students studying criminology or accounting. The scholarships will be awarded May 18 at the Annual Fraud Conference in Dallas. The fraud busters in training are Alyssa Berman, Marissa Paz, Mark Laury, Jennifer Okate, Jason Jiao, Daniel Tobin, Monica Mirea and Susan Houghtalin. Scholarship winners are from the University of Texas at Arlington and other area universities.
