Texas donors seen as key to help GOP win back Congress

Politico.com has a story on how both parties are bracing for the recession to hurt campaign fundraising.

Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who now chairs the National Senate Republican Committee, says he's hoping to tap Texas donors who haven't been hit as hard by the downturn to help fuel a nationwide GOP comeback.

Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Dallas, is hoping to target those same deep pockets in Texas too, according to the story.

one thing about perry he wasn't the republican who let the mexican military waltz across texas to help the victims of hur katrina;it was bush and kay bailey hutchins was a member of his senatorial team at the time. texas was the host for millions of victims and they were welcomed with open arms. Govnor perry has at least tried to keep our ecomony stable;ms.hutchins on the other had has her rich friends speak for her with thier dollars. i can't say that about my self but i can say that i will vote for the man. he at least will let this re indian woman who is a real american without forgien blood,vote for the person and not the deep pockets or the simple minds who should know better. i am a real tejas and i think that it should be those who or make the decision. and bye the way ms. hutchins;i stay in the garden and kitchin to make a living;i'm not looking for a handout. can you say that.
